Academic Tutoring
With over six years of experience both in the classroom and with private clients, my academic tutoring not only covers a variety of specific humanities subjects, including writing, language arts, literature, history, and social science, but aims to also offer a holistic, interdisciplinary approach that weaves the humanities together into a rigorous and meaningful engagement with the core ideas of world culture and the core skills of the humanities, such as critical thinking, written and verbal communication, research, analysis, global citizenship, and social-emotional understanding.
Tutoring curriculum is centered around Socratic Dialogue, either one-on-one or in small groups, and branching independent projects that explore topics and build skills that are suited to the individual needs and temperament of the student.

Skill Building
Develop the core humanities skilis, including critical thinking, textual comprehension and analysis, research, media literacy, and various forms of writing, including argumentative essays, creative writing, etc. Build on your core strengths and develop strategies and tools to optimize your academic performance. Improve your organization and learn to prioritize and find balance in your work.

Core Curriculum
Tutoring curriculum is co-created with students, based on their interests, academic needs, and future academic goals, and when possible based around the core classic texts from global culture, including ancient cultures, classic literature, the European Enlightement, contemporary writing, etc.
